At Nikmaq, we are dedicated to creating a sanctuary of hope and a brighter future for women survivors of human and sex trafficking, as well as those facing family violence, severe depression, and other significant challenges.

 

Our mission is to establish a safe and supportive environment that promotes healing, self-confidence, and self-esteem through therapeutic services, outdoor activities, and community support. By acquiring properties, farms, and land, we will provide secure housing and a range of activities designed to nurture recovery and empower each woman to rediscover her strength and purpose.

Our commitment extends to helping women from all backgrounds, not only Native American communities. However, we also actively collaborate with tribes to organize gatherings and sponsor festivals, ensuring the preservation and celebration of Native American culture across generations.

 

Together, we are building a place of new beginnings where every woman can find a path forward, surrounded by a compassionate community ready to listen, support and uplift.
